The Borger Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of the Phillips Petroleum Company contracted with Utility Engineering (UE) to provide ongoing engineering, design and technical services support for upgrades to the facility’s electrical, controls, mechanical and piping systems.

UE provided these services for the SBU from 1991 through 2000. Representative projects include tank farm HazOp recommendations, topped crude to storage cooling, fire isolation valves, natural gas liquids (NGL) processing facility electrical upgrade, plant emergency load shift procedures, reformer furnace emergency shutdown, in-line blending, equipment mapping / electrical area classifications and NGL facility storm water ponds.
