UE worked with the client to develop one of the first biodiesel plants in the United States using animal fats as a feedstock. We worked with the client to develop the site layout around existing rail spurs, transmission line and high pressure natural gas line right of ways, and existing property lines.

Wanzek Construction and Desmet Ballestra technology were key interfaces as the technology provider furnished the equipment information for us to develop the foundations and structural steel drawings for the facility. The mechanical engineering group developed the P&ID’s for the plant and supported the permitting agency with the requested data.
