Completion Date: 1999
Utility Engineering (UE) was responsible for the engineering, procurement,
construction and construction management of a new coal unloading
system for the Public Service Company of Colorado’s (PSCo)
Arapahoe Generating Station.
The project was designed to allow continuous unloading from railcars
and included a bottom dump rail car coal unloading system, take-away
conveying and radial stack-out systems, a reclaim conveying system
and an installation of the facility’s rail loop. All associated
balance of plant (BOP) systems were included.
